In 25 verschiedenen Städten in Deutschland hat die Roma-Bleiberechtskampagne „alle bleiben!“ Luftballons steigen lassen - als Symbol der selbstbestimmten Bewegungs- und Niederlassungsfreiheit aller Menschen. Abgeschobenen Roma, Ashkali und Ägyptern drohen im Kosovo Ausgrenzung, Elend und Obdachlosigkeit. Das belegen zahlreiche Berichte. Dennoch sollen morgen erneut mehrere Roma mit einem Abschiebeflug von Stuttgart aus nach Pristina abgeschoben werden. PRO ASYL protestiert aufs Schärfste gegen die geplante Sammelabschiebung und fordert dazu auf, Abschiebungen in den Kosovo zu beenden.

Twenty seven Roma families in Serbia's capital Belgrade, among them refugees from Kosovo, face imminent forced eviction from their homes to make way for new commercial housing built by a government owned company, Amnesty International said.

Der neue Generalsekretär von Amnesty International, Salil Shetty, hat Deutschland aufgefordert, die Abschiebung von Roma in den Kosovo zu stoppen. Wenn die Flüchtlinge jetzt zur Rückkehr gezwungen würden, „wird ihr Leben in Gefahr gebracht“, sagte Shetty der Frankfurter Allgemeinen Zeitung.

Baden-Württemberg stalls deportation of Roma

(Chachipe) Against the background of the flaring tensions in Northern Kosovo, the Ministry of Interior of the Land Baden-Württemberg, Rheinhold Gall, has decided to stall the forced repatriation of Roma to Serbia and Kosovo. According to the German news agency DPA, a Ministry spokesman explained, that the Minister considers that the security situation of Roma is particularly unsafe. A delegation of the Parliament of the German Land in charge of dealing with appeals will visit Kosovo in Autumn to make a final assessment of the situation.

Serbia urged to stop forced evictions of Roma (PR)

The Serbian authorities must halt a series of forced evictions of Roma in the capital Belgrade and to provide them with adequate housing, Amnesty International said on the eve of International Roma Day. Within these communities, there are many vulnerable groups, including Roma who fled the 1999 war in Kosovo.
